The Story Museum offers a range of online and in-person storytelling workshops for EYFS and primary settings.

Online Storytelling Workshops

  • Storytelling Workshop: A Story Leader tells two stories at the beginning of the day and sets a story-making task with accompanying resources. They then meet the class again – at the end of the lesson/day/week – to hear the students’ creations and tell a final story. The Story Leader can meet up to four classes a day and all sessions can be adapted for Year 1 – Year 6.

In-person Storytelling Workshops

In-person storytelling workshops are available to primary schools in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire. Choose from:

  • The Story Suitcase: A Story Leader visits the school bearing a mysterious suitcase that contains a selection of multi-sensory souvenirs from a themed story world that is brought to life by a performance and interactive story-making session. Suitable for pupils from EYFS to Year 6.
  • Storytelling Sessions: A Story Leader spends a full day in school working with different classes as agreed. Storytelling sessions include a performance of a traditional oral story that provides a stimulus for students to go on to create their own stories through collaboration and drama-based activities. Suitable for pupils from EYFS to Year 6.

Cost: Online workshops from £95 + VAT for one class. In-person workshops from £420 + VAT + travel per day.
