Reading Lab is a ten-week, intensive literacy intervention designed to support pupils in Years 3-6 and Years 7-8 who are working towards age-related expectations.
The programme provides a dedicated specialist tutor who supports 15 pupils, working with groups of three pupils at a time for two x 45-minute sessions every week.
The programme targets vocabulary, reading fluency and comprehension and is designed to strengthen pupils’ reading skills, boost reading engagement and enable them to access the wider curriculum.
Reading Labs are currently available in London, the North West (Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire), Staffordshire, The Midlands and Norwich.

About The Children’s Literacy Charity: The Children’s Literacy Charity aims to close the literacy gap for the most disadvantaged in society through the provision of specialist one-to-one and small group tuition.
