Literacy Lab is a phonics-based, multi-sensory programme that provides tailored support for KS1 pupils who are struggling to make progress in the mainstream classroom with their literacy skills.
The programme provides a dedicated specialist tutor who works with children for two x 45-minute sessions every week. Schools can opt for 1:1 and/or 1:3 sessions to best suit the needs of the pupils over the course of the year.
During each session, the tutor will work with the child/children to provide the individual support they need, based on detailed assessments. The sessions target phonics, reading comprehension, writing and reading for pleasure.
Literacy Labs are currently available in London, the North West (Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire), Staffordshire, the Midlands and Norwich.
Cost: Please contact The Children’s Literacy Charity for more information regarding costings.
