The Blue Peter Book Club is a book club for young people in KS1 and KS2 (ages 5-11) set up by Blue Peter and The Reading Agency to promote the joy of reading. Throughout the year, Blue Peter presenters showcase a new title on the Blue Peter show and are joined by young readers to share their comments.

The featured books have been selected by children’s book experts with the help of children’s reading groups and libraries across the UK. You can find the latest titles here.

Cost: Access to the recommended booklist and accompanying online activities is free. Schools will need to buy their own copies of the books.

About Blue Peter: Blue Peter is a weekly children’s tv show from the BBC that features fun and educational activities, challenges and adventures for children aged 5-15. It first aired in 1958 and is currently the longest running children’s tv show in the world. The Blue Peter Book Club was launched in September 2023.
