Dyslexia Awareness Week aims to raise awareness of dyslexia and to challenge common misconceptions. Dyslexia Awareness Week 2026 takes place from 5–11 October in England and Wales. Dyslexia Awareness Week Scotland will take place from 28 September–4 October 2026 due to school holidays. Further details to be announced.
Resources to support Dyslexia Awareness Week 2025 included:
- An interactive presentation for primary and secondary schools that challenges some of the myths surrounding dyslexia and explains how dyslexia shapes reading, writing, problem-solving and creativity.
- A new report, Set Up for Somebody Else: Young people with dyslexia in the education system highlighting the experiences of young people with dyslexia in the classroom.
- Information and resources to help teaching staff identify and support neurodiverse learner from the British Dyslexia Association.
