ABC Book Club helps primary schools and nursery settings across the UK promote reading for pleasure through a book donating programme and the creation of inspirational reading spaces.

• Book donating programme: Primary schools, nurseries and SEND schools can apply to receive up to 500 pre-loved books. The books are curated by age and can be used to top up libraries and book corners, or to gift to pupils who do not have access to books at home.
• Libraries: ABC Book Club also provides free consultancy and project management services to help schools create or refurbish their school library. ABC Book Club can:
  • Work with pupils and members of the school community to design a bespoke and engaging space.
  • Facilitate fundraising and access to volunteers from the local business community.
  • Provide high-quality, pre-loved books to stock the shelves.

ABC Book Club works with all schools but priority will be given to settings in deprived communities.

 Cost: Pre-loved book donations cost £10/box of 100 books. Costs for library projects will vary but schools only have to cover the costs of their fixtures and fittings.
