The Henley Literary Festival Schools Programme provides in-person and live-streamed author events for primary schools as part of its wider Festival programming. This year’s Schools Programme runs from 5th – 9th October 2026.
Travel back in time to Elizabethan England; meet 10 brave and rebellious children who changed the world; and get top tips on how to create your own poems or graphic novels from best-selling authors and illustrators Paterson Joseph, Olaf Falafel, Sophy Henn, A.F. Harrold, M.G. Leonard, Joseph Coelho and Katie Kirby.
Events last approximately 45 minutes. Tickets for both in-person and live-streamed events can be booked online and booking opens on 21st April.
Cost: Online events are free. In-person events £10 – £12 per pupil (includes a free copy of a book by the relevant author). Accompanying adults go free.
About Henley Literary Festival: Henley Literary Festival began as a weekend event in 2007 and has grown to become one of the UK’s leading literature festivals. It offers around 120 events for adults and children across nine days of programming as well as a series of pop-up events through the rest of the year.
