Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising campaign created by Comic Relief. It uses the power of comedy and entertainment to bring people together and raise money to fund projects that tackle poverty and its consequences in the UK and the rest of the world. Red Nose Day 2026 is on 20th March and the theme for this year is Take Yourself Funny for Money.

About Comic Relief: Comic Relief is a major UK charity founded in 1985 by film writer and director Richard Curtis and comedian Lenny Henry. The charity’s goal is to drive positive change through the power of entertainment. The money it raises funds projects that tackle injustice and poverty around the world. The first Red Nose Day took place in 1988. Red Nose Day was celebrated every two years until 2022, when it became an annual event.
