Take One Book is a comprehensive, research-informed reading and English programme for KS1 and KS2 pupils. It provides access to over 100 customisable teaching sequences that are designed to:

• Develop positive attitudes to reading.
• Ensure pupils are exposed to a wide range of  quality texts.
• Develop deeper reading comprehension and inference skills for all children.

The detailed lesson plans follow a flexible pedagogic framework that develops listening and reading comprehension through dialogue, knowledge-building and language-rich experiences. The teaching sequences are structured around a carefully curated collection of texts that include fiction, non-fiction, poetry and picture books to provide a broad, balanced and ambitious reading curriculum. The text selection is regularly updated to include recent releases as well as established favourites.

Take One Book is available as an annual subscription. Costs vary depending on the number of pupils.
